Competitive Swimming

The club has always placed a strong emphasis on teaching swimming to its young members, starting with the late Carmel Abela's swimming school in the early 1970s. Over the years, the school has grown in size and importance, with qualified instructors and nearly 200 children ranging in age from five to sixteen years old. The school now operates year-round, using both outdoor and indoor heated pools, and organizes three summer meets to measure progress. The current sub-committee running the school aims to elevate the school's level by regularly competing at the national level. Despite competition, the school maintains a spirit of friendship and camaraderie among its members.
